What Is This?

A Heist Game is a hack of Chris Bissette's A Dungeon Game. 
Heists and Dungeon-Crawls being almost exactly the same, except for tone.

Okay, but what's the pitch?

You a Thief, in the greatest city in the world.
You know very little. You own even less.

But the things you need, the things you want...

                                                                          ..you can steal. 

Creep through the halls of your betters, avoid their guards, disable their traps, and relieve them of their excess. 

Inspirations: Thief (the video-game), Gloomwood (also an video-game), Dishonored (but without the magic stuff I guess), The Lies of Locke Lamora (a booke), and Blades in the Dark (but not really).

Tooth-Skin Edition?

The Tooth-Skin edition is what others might call, "An Ashcan Release". This is the rules and content you might need to run a Heist-style Adventure in the OSR vein. It requires some paper, a pencil, some six sided die, and some twenty sided die.

NEW: The Shalecrest Hall Heist :NEW

The Rt. Hon. Carew Lockland is taking a business partner to the Opera. Crucially, they have also taken their bodyguard with them. This leaves their estate essentially unguarded. 

Essentially.

The Shalecrest Hall Heist is a starter heist for First-Time Thieves in the same vein as the main book itself. Use it to try things out, kick off your own game, or steal wholesale for something else. I don't care, I'm not a cop.

Beyond

There are plans, for a cover, and art.

There are schemes, for more adventures.

There are whispers, of further content.

There is no release schedule; it follows the writing, and writing follows no schedule but its own. 

The Tooth-Skin edition is currently Pay-What-You-Want, and will remain as such indefinitely, as the game it was based on was and I don't think I can bring myself to charge for this part of it at least.

There will be edits and updates and changes, but the rules (and starter heist) will always be here, free, basic, and easy to read.
